As we all know by now, our great school will no longer be ours
as of September. It is sad times in the Drum Rock classrooms! But we still stand proud of all that has occurred
between these walls. Together we have grown, learned a lot, and made many great friends. There has been laughter
and tears and a few boo boos along the way, but we made it through. Now we need to move forward with anticipation that
everything happens for a reason and that we can only learn from this and get stronger. Let us show everyone who
voted to close our great school that they have not won. They may have closed the doors to us and taken away our
building but they cannot take our memories or everything we have learned here. This community is undividable and we can
continue our friendships and bonds long into the future. Let us hold our heads proud as we each enter our new schools
and show them how dynamic a Drum Rock family can be. Let us teach our new friends as well as learn from them. Our
Drum Rock spirit will forever reign in our hearts and no one can take that from us! I would like to thank our teachers for always pushing our children
to the limit and bringing out the best in each individual. You are an amazing group and any school would be privileged
to have you join their staff. We will miss you very much. To all of the many parent volunteers: We are so lucky
to have you all at Drum Rock. The numerous hours you spend coordinating, managing and running our events is incredible.
You each offer something different and unique to our school and should be proud of how much you have given to the lives
of others! Our year is not over yet and there is a lot to do. We
welcome any ideas and volunteers to help make new memories we will not forget. We want our children to remember
the good things about their school forever. Please come to the next meeting, April 1st with ideas of how we
